Tickets going fast for Wells Comedy Festival shows

THERE is just under two weeks to go until the start of this year’s Wells Comedy Festival and tickets are selling fast.

Wells is hosting the big weekend of stand-up from May 24-26. With more than 30 comedy shows taking place at three venues throughout the city, many shows are already sold out with only a handful of tickets remaining for others.

Among the acts appearing at the comedy jamboree are James Acaster, Harry Hill, Alan Davies, Nish Kumar, Lou Sanders and Tim Key.

Sold-out shows include those by Harry Hill, Rich Hall, Nish Kumar, Alan Davies and Flo & Joan, while Lou Sanders, Tim Key, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, John Kearns and Kemah Bob have limited availability.

Ben Williams, Founder of the Wells Comedy Festival, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing some of our favourite comics to Somerset. We’ve got so many fantastic acts bringing tour shows or working up new shows, as well as some really exciting new comics that we can’t wait to champion.”

Wells Comedy Festival is teaming up again with Copper Coffee, which will be serving up coffee and hot drinks all weekend. A new addition this year is wood-fired pizzas from Little Blue Pizza.

The official Festival Bar will also be back, serving local beers from Wookey Ale, Sheppy’s Cider and soft drinks. It is open until the small hours, and no ticket is required.
